President Obama Recieves Poison Letters

Huffington Post

On April 15, 2013 a poison tainted letter was sent to Senator Roger Wicker. Luckily, the letter was intercepted. A day later, a letter of the same kind was intercepted. This time, the letter was intended for the President."The letter was intercepted at a facility away from the White House after they had suspected the the letter contained a suspicious substance." said  the Secret Service Spokesman. Chad Pergram from Fox News claims that the sender of both the letters are the same. Tensions have been high in Washington and across the country since the deadly bombings on Monday at the Boston Marathon that killed three people and injured more than 170. Now that the lives of influential government officials have been threatened, Many Americans fear the safety of this nation. Others say that we are under attack by terrorists. Either way, the people are looking for answers and so far, none have been given. The Police say they have a suspect in mind but that has not given the American people they are looking for. It is time for the President to brief the people on the current situation since everyone looks up to him and need to be comforted.

  1. Not only was the country under attack, but now the whole infrastructure of the United States is under threat, starting from the government. Thus attempt on the lives of the president and the senator should be fully investigated, for it seems like this suspect full of hate towards the government is not stopping to attack the politicians with deadly poisons. It is an immediate threat that should be taken care of before rising to something larger and more dangerous in nature.

  2. This definitely does seem like the United States of America as a whole is under attack. First, the bombings in Boston, and now this? At first the poisoned letter was not sent to the President. Later, it was sent to the President but the poisoned letter was recognized and taken care of. This shows that there is a person, or group of people responsible for all of this. It would not be surprising to hear that the two responsible for the Boston bombings is part of a terrorist group. It would also not be surprising that the person that is sending these poisoned letters is part of that group. All this means is that there is a threat, and the U.S. needs to be on its toes to stop anything that can be prevented.

  3. Last week was truly a ruff one for the US, as the amount of threats and terrorism were extremely high for that short period of time. Not only have citizens been effected by these attacks, but now, people are actually trying to attack the leader of our government, the president. The secret service on the other hand did an excellent job in not allowing the letter to pass, for no one knows what would have happened.

  4. All of these terrorists acts occurring all at once are surely no coincidence. It began with the attacks in Boston at the marathon and continued with the poison tainted letters sent to Senator Wicker and President Obama, and now there is suspicion that the terrorists from Boston had plans to attack New York. This is a clear terrorist threat and calls for great attention. I believe that cities all over America are taking the correct steps to insure their citizens safety and must continue to do so until this issue is resolved. For example, the other day I was a Los Angeles Kings game at Staples Center and there was maximum security. Those are the kind of measures that will keep citizens safe.
